The purpose of Self-Science is to further develop skills of self- and social awareness as an extension of District 28’s social-emotional curriculum.  Through activities, games, and discussions, students will explore their unique learning styles, recognize the need to appreciate learning and thinking differences, develop awareness of their own feelings and self-confidence, as well as appropriate risk taking.  Developing these skills can help students continue to succeed in their academic environments and build peer relationships. (Self-Science Parent Letter)

Continuing these discussions at home will be an asset to your child's understanding and application of the concepts discussed at school. Please visit the parent resources below for links to articles and additional resources on the self science topics.
